Weekend Recap/Splash Park

We had a great weekend! On Friday Grandpa came to hang out with Maddox and Jeff and I went to hang out with Jackie to celebrate her Birthday. Dinner was great (at Ciao) and as always it was nice to get out and be adults for an evening. On Saturday Jayson came in town so Jeff and him went to hang out at Kenny's. Maddox and I joined them for a bit. I may have participated in a couple of rounds of HORSE. I did not do well. On Sunday the boys went and golfed so Maddox and I went to the park and hung out all day. We didn't watch fire works because Maddox couldn't stay up that late. I had to work on Monday but in the evening Jeff and I took Maddox to the Splash Park. We go a couple times a week and he loves it.

In other Maddox news, he learned the words "diaper" and "no" over the weekend. Lovely, right? He also says "no" with a full on head shake. He now says the following words: mama, baba (daddy), cracker, car, go, clap, ball, book, uh oh, and of course the new ones I just mentioned. I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two others. It's crazy how fast he is learning new words. Cracker is my favorite word he says because he says it crack-ah and it's just real cute. I don't think I've mentioned it on the blog but Maddox has been walking since a couple of days after his birthday. Before that he would walk a couple of steps between Jeff and I, but it's like he turned 1 and decided to become all independent. He's all over the place and I love it (most of the time)!
